Core topics include the four dimensions of service management – Organizations and People, Value Streams and Processes, Information and Technology, and Partners and Suppliers – as well as the ITIL Value System, which integrates guiding principles, governance, value chain activities, management practices, and continual improvement into a unified approach. Learners also study the full product and service lifecycle from discovery and design through to operation, delivery, and support, and develop practical skills in Value Stream Mapping and Management to improve flow and visibility across digital services. The certification further builds competencies in lifecycle thinking, collaborative value-focused working, and embedding a continuous improvement mindset into daily professional practice. The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, is closed book, lasts 60 minutes, requires a minimum passing score of 65%, and is currently available in English. Certification renewal is required every 3 years.
